It's been some weeks since the last post about starting the summer holidays. I'm finally back in Madrid but no just arriving, I arrived like 2-3 weeks ago and started to create some "legal" personas for my new projects. So let's talk a bit about what's going on and get back into the activity train.
First of all, The 100th People Project was an amazing experience and I really enjoyed the travel across 11 countries in the Balkans and Carpathian area of Eastern Europe. As I promised, I took clear notes of all the experiences and people met during the trip. Everything is being packed into a micro-site and will be uploaded during the next weekend with all the information accessible to everyone. One of the most weird things during the trip was a huge electric storm that caught me at 3:00am sleeping in the beach of Varna, Bulgaria, and made me run trying to avoid water and lighting bolts hitting the sand... just the experience of my life from a survival perspective, really scary. And regarding the people, I've learn a lot from all of you who got hit by a participation number but I'm really sad about not being able to find 100 interesting people to talk about although I'm conscious it was a high expectation . Should I keep working on this project till I reach the hundred people? Maybe, don't really know yet.
Returning home has been quite hard in terms on going back to activity. I've been working hard this last weeks setting up new opportunities for projects because, as you may already know, I quitted my last company in June and I still need to find out a new way of living. Anyway, everything is running smooth and I'm starting a new company within the next weeks. More info on this will be published when available.
By now, I'm focused on learning, learning, learning and learning more... so I plan to attend this year's editions of TechEd Developers in Barcelona, Fundamentos Web in Gijón and South by Southwest in Austin, together with the unconfirmed attendance to MVP Global Summit in Seattle, MIX 2009 in Las Vegas and maybe Shift'08 in Lisbon. So a lot of more information will be published again regarding this topics. And to start the socializing phase I'll be attending just this afternoon to a presentation by Tim Ferriss, author of the 4-Hours Working Week bestseller.
And I think this summarizes quite will my return to the "normal" life, so keep tuned for upcoming content about user experience, personal branding, digital personas, Silverlight, Windows Presentation Foundation and some facts about sociology applied to computing (new graduate degree I'm starting to study now from the Open University)
