I know it's been a long time but I've finally came up with new ideas to keep up with my personal blog and express some new and important parts of what's inside my mind. As many of you may already know I stopped publishing my old blog, located at http://blogs.clearscreen.com/migs, around 13 months ago because I was kind of busy with other aspects of my life, but that it's exactly what I've changed during the last days.
Lot of things had been happening since then, not only on my professional career but also on the technology market we are all living in. Before stopping the previous blog I was almost attending Mix 2007 in Las Vegas to see what soon was converted in to a great passion: user experience and new ways of interacting with users. I've worked a lot on those topics during the last months, mostly with Microsoft techonologies, and I've read a lot of books, texts, blogs and essays on the topic. I've also been part of a Mix-like event in Madrid called ReMix (in fact it was a replica of the original event that was held across Europe) and attended a couple of months ago to Mix 2008. But I haven't spend all my working hours attending events, I've been working in couple of projects with a high impact in UX through Windows Presentations Foundation and Silverlight technologies.
In fact, I've spend so many time with UX and Interaction Design during the last months that most of the new content in the upcoming blog will be related to those topics. So you can expect to see new content about user experience, interaction design, usability, natural gesture, social networking, communication, emotional design and simplicity, together with some deep-to-the-core technical stuff regarding .NET Framework and related technologies.
Welcome to the new version of my blog, and indeed, to the new version of my own self. I've tried to re-invent my own and I tagged the resulting product as "miguel jiménez 2.0" (at least when talking about tech stuff)
To start this new version I decided to move to a personal domain name, change the blog engine and create a brand-new design from scratch; although the design is not completely finish yet, I decided to publish the blog in the actual state and keep working on finishing all the sections and content during the next week. The old content still in the same old blog, but I'll import it here as soon as I figure out how to do it in a quick and safe way.
Thanks for reading, in case you still suscribed to my feed and hope you enjoy the new horizons I'm trying to explore and share with all of you.
